WE WENT INSIDE THE GREAT EGYPTIAN PYRAMID! (welcome to Egypt)

We have made it to Egypt! And we're starting this epic trip off with a bang by visiting the iconic Pyramids of Giza, and even going INSIDE the Great Pyramid! We arrived in Cairo from London on a non-stop flight, stayed the night near the airport, and began our adventures the next day. Our first stop was to the Egyptian Museum and it did not disappoint! So many artifacts, sarcophagus, coffins, statues to see inside. Including pieces from inside the tomb King Tut! We had lunch at Abuo Shakra which had the most impressive view of the pyramid complex sitting up on the Giza Plateau. Finally seeing the pyramids in person after having seen them on tv, google maps, etc. was incredible! We bought the extra ticket to climb inside the Great Pyramid. It was cramped, hot, and exhausting, but we felt like it was an absolute must do to see the INSIDE of a pyramid! After visiting the Sphinx and panoramic viewpoint, we hopped back in our van and returned to Cairo Airport to catch a flight down to Aswan where we will continue this incredible tour through Egypt!
