🍅Polpette e Patate al Sugo🍅

✨There’s nothing like a pot of homestyle meatballs and potatoes simmering away! What brings it to life is the quality of the tomatoes.

AD🍅I used Pomì Strained Tomatoes for that silky, velvety base, and added Pomì Chopped Tomatoes for a bit of texture. The result? A rich, rustic sauce that clings to every bite, just the way it should be!

Ingredients:
🍅 24oz Pomì Strained Tomatoes
🍅 8oz Pomì Chopped Tomatoes
🥩 1/2 lb ground beef
🐖 1/2 lb ground pork
🥚 2 eggs
🥖 100g breadcrumbs
🧄 1 clove crushed garlic
🧅 1/2 onion, chopped
🧀 50g Parmigiano Reggiano
🧀 50g Pecorino Romano
🌿 Chopped parsley
🧂 Salt & pepper
🥔 1 lb gold potatoes, cubed
🌿 Fresh basil
🫒 Olive oil

👨‍🍳Instructions:
1. In a large bowl, mix the beef, pork, breadcrumbs, eggs, garlic, Parmigiano, Pecorino, parsley, salt, and pepper.
2. Form the meatballs.
3. Sauté them in olive oil until golden.
4. Then add in the chopped onion and sauté until soft.
5. Add in the Pomì Strained and Chopped Tomatoes. Mix it up.
6. Stir in the potatoes and season with salt, pepper, and fresh basil.
7. Cover and let it simmer on low for 25–30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the potatoes are tender and the sauce is rich and full of flavor.
8. Plate it up and enjoy a taste of home straight from Nonna’s kitchen!
