Lake District 2023: The Kentmere Horseshoe with Alan Metalman 29th June

This is a Lake District classic, and starting from Kentmere village we did a 9 wainwright horseshoe hike in a clockwise direction starting firstly with Yoke. Andrea and I were joined again today by Alan Metalman and we enjoyed great weather and visibility throughout the hike. Yes, it was a long hike, lots of ups and downs, ridge walking, and even descending through ferns, but one we will remember for a long time. This is definitely an all day hike, so start early, 7am approx, get your parking space and enjoy the views!!
A first for us was to encounter an Adder on the path which slithered off into the grass, but we did capture it on video and camera.
Big thanks again to Alan for coming along today, certainly helped keep our spirits up and made for an entertaining day. Enjoy!!
