Dr. Lakeyta Bonnette-Bailey, will examine the inextricable relationship between Hip Hop culture and the Black Lives Matter Movement in combating systemic injustices that plague Black America.
Dr. Lakeyta Bonnette-Bailey is an Associate Professor of Political Science at Georgia State University. Dr. Bonnette-Bailey's research interests include Hip Hop culture, political behavior, political attitudes, African-American politics, political psychology, and public opinion. Her current research examines the impact of political rap music on racial attitudes and the relationship between Hip-Hop culture and social justice- a co-edited volume (with Adolphus Belk Jr).
