Most minor key songs and progressions are harmonized from the natural minor and harmonic minor scales.

When improvising a lead melody, it's good to know when the change between these two minor scales occurs.

This guided jam track will get you playing both scales confidently and melodically.

While many backing tracks on youtube do show you the diagrams, it's also useful to know which notes to target through the chord changes, so your scale movements sound more connected to the backing music.

That's why I show you the scale diagrams and their related chord patterns as the chords change, so you can explore the scale musically instead of aimlessly.

Eventually, your ear will take over and you won't need these diagrams. But just like you start with arm floats in the swimming pool, or stabilizers on your first bike, these "chord tone markers" will help you develop quickly and enjoyably.
