Inter-Religious Council Calls for Increased Gov’t Healthcare Sector Funding

The Inter-Religious Council of Uganda has called on government to increase funding to the health sector, with particular emphasis on strengthening the fight against HIV/AIDS. The appeal was made during the Faith Sector Health and Sustainable HIV Financing Dialogue in Kampala, where religious leaders expressed concern over inadequate financing for quality healthcare services.
