Rockhounding is such an awesome thing to do that costs little or nothing yet shows us what our awesome planet is capable of creating. These crystals were uncovered in the mountains in California. We really like how naturally clear these appear, with little impurities to discolor them. Some were Smokey Quartz variety with a darkened gradient. Just imagine Heather covered in dirt and dust with a big smile on her face as she dugout these beauties! #rockhounding #geology
