A Time When Workers Really Cared About What They Produced
I was fortunate enough to live and work in Camden Maine for more than 20 years. During that time the Knox Woolen Mill, one of the big employers in town, closed down. Almost all of the mills in New England had closed by this point. I chose to donate a short film to the town on how the people worked there felt. Their level of dedication to a “corporation” is almost completely gone now. I don't blame the workers. To me, corporations let their workers down when they no longer cared about the wellbeing of their employees. As a result, employees didn't care any longer either. What do you think?
