Rice is a beloved food the world over. With plenty of varieties and preparation methods, rice washing is a foundational process in most recipes. In this video, we show how to wash rice properly.

For a lighter less starchy rice wash the rice 5-7 times to wash out the starch. For more filling dishes or when cooking for large groups, a more starchy rice may be more suitable in that case wash 1 to 2 times.
