How Investigators Hunt Down Cooking Oil Thieves
Authorities are warning of organized crime rings that are making millions of dollars by stealing, of all things, used cooking oil. They’re known as grease thieves, and they pull up in trucks and pump the “liquid gold” out of the containers behind restaurants. But the thieves aren’t as slick as their spoils, and they’ve got the “Grease Police” on their tail, led by ex-cop Frank Scoggins. Inside Edition’s Investigative Unit was invited along to see the Grease Police in action. #InsideEdition
