Airlines have lost billions due to COVID-19, with ticket sales down a whopping 85%. Airports are trying to lure travelers back with the promise of enhanced cleaning and other safety measures to make travelers feel safe. Inside Edition’s Investigative Unit checked out JFK Airport to see how thorough their cleaning procedures are in the wake of COVID-19. After painting a harmless, invisible ink on surfaces throughout the airport, the team returned three days later to see what had been cleaned.
