Outdoor VLOG 62: November XC Ski Day Complete and an Impromptu Intro to Me and My XC Ski Experience

I can't believe that I found some decent snow on which to ski. And, I actually logged 2.5 miles on that strip of hiking trail covered in snow. It was surprisingly fun!

In this video I go for a little hike, perform some cross-country ski drills, and give an abridged version of my background with cross-country skiing. I thought now that we're about to begin a new xc ski season, it might be nice to "reintroduce" myself to those of you who aren't familiar with me. That, and I don't know that I've ever actually talked about the fact that I'm relatively new to the art.

I started in the 2014-15 winter, and I've been logging days and miles ever since! In the process, I've gotten involved with PSIA (Professional Ski Instructors of America) in an effort to increase my knowledge. As of this video, I'm a level 2 certified instructor through PSIA. And, I have plans to earn my level 3 certification this season (2023-24).

The backcountry xc skis that I used in this video were the Fischer Spider 62mm with NNN BC Auto bindings. I was wearing Fischer OTX Adventure boots.
