This time I made a simple and accurate circular saw guide. It lets you cut straight and precise cuts up to 62cm. For accuracy, you can track your cuts using sight holes. The design also lets you clamp the jig to a bench and secure the cutting piece. You will need only a few things to build this DIY workshop tool - plywood, aluminum angles, bolts, nuts, and a circular saw. This homemade workshop tool is simple to make and it will help you with all sorts of different woodworking projects. I started out by measuring and cutting the plywood base for the circular saw guide (see dimensions below, detailed dimensions in the video). Cut the aluminum guide rails and measured the space between them so that the circular saw fits in perfectly. Make sure the height of the rail does not block the circular saw while sliding. Attach a tape to one side of the circular saw to add a bit of space for the slide. Fixed the rails to the plywood base using double-sided tape, wood glue, and screws. Cut a shallow line with the circular saw to mark the cutting slot. After that, I drilled multiple sight holes (⌀2cm) in the cut line to be able to see and follow the cut line precisely. Sanded the plywood base for the circular saw to slide better. In the end, I attached a handle for better and easier manipulation. Also allows you to put pressure on the wood and hold the piece in place while cutting.

Tips:
- Fix the first guide rail and then tweak and adjust the second one once the circular saw is in place
- While fixing the guide tracks use tape on the circular saw base to let for a better slide. Remove once tracks are in place
- Drill in the sight holes before you cut the slot
