Why You Should Wash Your Rice...

Thank you all for your support! In this special video, we celebrate together by taking on the challenge of making three delicious Arroz Rojo recipes that cater to all cooking levels... And of course, it was an absolute gong show! All because I didn't fry my rice correctly nor wash it prior to cooking it.... The good thing is that I'm here to learn with you and laugh together from My mistakes (many, many mistakes...). No more writing, let's learn to make Mexican red rice from Step Juan. 🍅 INGREDIENTS
Classic Mexican Red Rice:
🍚 1 cup white long-grain rice
🍅 2 roma tomatoes (to make 3/4 cup of sauce)
🐔 1 chicken bullion
🐔 Chicken broth, or water (1.5 cups)
🧅 1 small onion, finely chopped
🧄 2 cloves garlic, minced
🌿 1/4 cup vegetable oil
🧂 Salt to taste
🌱 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin (optional)
🌿 Fresh cilantro for garnish

Vegetable-Infused Arroz Rojo:
🍚 1 cup white long-grain rice
🥕 1 carrot, diced
🍅 2 roma tomatoes
🐔 1 chicken bullion
🐔 Chicken broth, or water (1.5 cups)
🧅 1 small onion
🧄 2-4 cloves garlic
🟢 1/2 cup peas
🌿 1/4 cup vegetable oil
🧂 Salt to taste
🫑 1/2 red bell pepper, diced
🌿 Fresh cilantro for garnish

Spicy Chipotle Arroz Rojo:
🍚 1 cup white long-grain rice
🍅 2 roma tomatoes
🐔 1 chicken bullion
🐔 Chicken broth, or water (1.5 cups)
🧅 1 small onion
🧄 2-4 cloves garlic
🌶 1 spicy pepper (habanero, for me)
🌶 1 can chipotle peppers
🌿 1/4 cup vegetable oil
🧂 Salt to taste
🫑 1/2 red bell pepper, diced
🌿 Fresh cilantro for garnish
🍈 Half a lime for extra goodness
