Regular Production Option PBC is available when ordering a new Z06 is the Engine Build Experience. You travel to Bowling Green Kentucky home of Corvette. You park in your own parking spot reserved for you. Then you enter the Corvette Assembly Facility where you are given orientations. Next to your private room to begin your day. After meeting the Plant Management described below you are guided to the PBC where you are paired with an engine builder who will guide you through the process of hand building the 650 hp LT4 engine that will be installed in your new Z06. You have your own engine assembly area and also a private room for snacks and lunch. The National Corvette Museum handles the arrangements and provides a knowledgeable guide who photographs the whole day. The photos contained here (148) are only a small sampling of the 836 photos taken that day. I edited down to give a good representation of the experience. Meeting the Corvette Plant Manager Kai Spande and his team first thing is only the beginning. The build itself took me 9 1/2 hours which included lunch with my immediate support team as well as the head of Corvette Quality Control.
