Sedentary lifestyle increases risk cardiovascular disease, cancer, and mostly Type-2 diabetes
Specific cancers that are more likely to develop include breast, colon, colorectal, endometrial, and epithelial ovarian cancers

Additional risks reported include metabolic syndrome, heart disease, and obesity
Cognitive impacts include low self-esteem, depression, social behavior problems, and declining productivity
2 hours/day of sitting time was correlated with a 17% increased risk of cardiovascular disease and a 20% increased risk of Type-2 diabetes
There is little evidence to suggest musculoskeletal disorders such as back or neck pain
