Advanced Robotic Surgery Available in Midland Michigan

Gynecologist John Lieberman, D.O., shares how he and his colleagues at MidMichigan Medical Center in Midland now have the most advanced robotically-assisted surgery technology available – the da Vinci® Xi™ Surgical System. This new technology complements the existing da Vinci Xi already in use at MidMichigan and provides surgeons with even greater functionality in procedures requiring access to multiple areas of the pelvis, abdomen or chest. Compared to conventional surgery, robotic-assisted surgery may offer faster recovery, less pain, minimal scarring, reduced blood loss, reduced risk of infection, shorter hospital stays and smaller incisions. MidMichigan’s team of highly-skilled surgeons and surgical staff has performed more than 1,850 robotic surgical procedures since 2011.
