One of the main shortcomings of the McWill USB rechargeable kit for the Gameboy Color was that it did not have a LED indicator light to let you know when the battery is done charging. Let’s see if we can solve this issue for $2!

In today’s episode of Retro Renew, we’re going to upgrade the McWill USB rechargeable kit for the Gameboy Color by adding an LED indicator light for just $2. This will allow us to see, visually, when the battery is done charging. I spoke with Marco (the man behind all the McWill kits) to see if it was possible to add an LED indicator to his USB kit. He not only said it was possible, but also helped me understand how to accomplish this modification! Thank you Marco!
