Shweta Nagu Spotted on Nagula Chavithi | Two Cobras Near Shiva Linga at Sri Vishwanatha Swamy Temple

A surprising incident took place on Nagula Chavithi at the Sri Vishwanatha Swamy Temple in Manubolu | SPSR Nellore District | Andhra Pradesh.

During the early hours, around 1:30 AM, temple priests noticed Two Cobras near the Shiva Linga inside the temple. They moved quietly around the shrine and later went into an anthill close to the sanctum.

Temple priest Srinivasulu told local media that the snakes appeared while puja preparations were going on and that they didn’t harm anyone. Devotees at the temple took it as a positive and spiritual sign, especially because it happened on the day dedicated to Nag Devatha (Snake God).

Videos of the incident spread widely on social media, with many people claiming that one of the cobras was a rare Shweta Nagu (white cobra). However, no official confirmation has been made by the Forest Department or wildlife experts to prove that one was actually a white cobra. The lighter colour seen in the videos could be due to lighting or camera quality.

Reports about the event were also published by Deccan Chronicle and a few Telugu news outlets, which mentioned the priest’s statement but didn’t confirm the “white cobra” part.

Overall, two cobras appearing at the temple on Nagula Chavithi is a real and confirmed local incident, but the claim about one being a rare white cobra remains unverified.
