Angled Bob with Graduation Haircut Tutorial

This is a very easy way to achieve a slightly angled bob. The cut starts with a deep moon-shaped neckline. We achieve the line with the head up at first to ensure a very even perimeter and straight line. As we move into the slight graduation, you will notice it is cut on a low diagonal, so if you want a steeper wedge you would want to do a steeper sectioning pattern.

The sides are both being cut toward the back to ensure they swing the same way for the clients, this is called directional cutting. The layers you will notice are cut square behind the high point of the head using a sundial or pivoting guideline. Then the entire front layer is over directed back to ensure that the length and thickness are not compromised. Another key point is to see that the front layers are also being over directed towards the center of her part. This will also maintain the fullness around her face and keep it from being cut off.

For her color, we used Kemon https://www.kemon.com/en/
Her base was 7 Nayo with 20 volume and then we freehand bayalage with Lunex Super Powder and 30 volume uni oxi.

Heidi was styled using Neuma https://neumabeauty.com/
Smoothing Cream mixed with Blow Dry lotion, followed with Blow Out Mist for heat protection while her hair was curled. I used a 1 1/4" Hot Tools Marcel Iron https://www.hottools.com/black-gold-marcel-iron-wand
