Hello Friends! Welcome back!
Today we are working on a 24x24 inch gallery wrapped canvas from Artist Loft. I have some great colors!

My Colors are:

There is NO Silicone
in Any of My Paint.

I decide to do a Dirty Cup instead of layered. A Dirty Cup is when you pour one color into the cup first, then pour the other colors from up high into the first color. You pour it from up high because you want it to sink under the other colors. This technique aerates the paint, giving it the opportunity for lots of cells when poured onto the canvas. As you pour it, also from up high, gravity mixes and churns the paint, adding air to it. When it hits the canvas it will create bubbles, which will become cells.

For a 24x24 we need 21 ounces of paint to cover the canvas. I pour my cup, but I dont love the center, so I put a couple more ounces of paint in my cup and pour that into the center.
Because I didn't add more black to that 2nd pour the center is brighter and almost glowing compared to the outer rings that have more black in them.
I put down my flow extender, Artist's Loft Flow Acrylic Black, and then tilt it out. At the end I'm still not crazy about the center, so borrowing inspiration from my friend Gail Burstyn of Life in Splatters, I use my palette knife and do some 'shmears' to create more interest in the center. This is the part that really blew me away.. I went from not really liking it to seeing a golden figure dancing and twirling with just a few shmears. It was incredible! I didn't have a plan other than creating some movement and elongating some lines and then boom! There she was! Thats amazing to me ☺ those happy little accidents.. Shmears are amazing! Thanks Gail! ❤ The suggestion of a dancer in the middle is very feminine.. soft and flowing. All of a sudden we are Celebrating the Divine Feminine Energy with this lovely little pixie waving her arms around. The curve of her low back is echoed by a rounded belly.. creation of life. Wow, what is in those shmears! Powerful stuff!

Its not completely dry in the center as I write this, but I will show you when it is. I don't expect it to change at all though.
