Instagram Trial Reels

Trial reels are not it for me... but I'm not done testing them yet.

I spent the last month kinda just fucking around with them.

Repurposing old content, posting recent stuff, the whole thing. 

Then Instagram literally told me I was doing it wrong. Cool. Cool. NBD.

I don't have the bandwidth to run two separate content strategies on the same platform. That's a no for me.

But before I give up completely, I noticed one thing that actually worked, and might be worth testing some more. 

The trial reel I posted with a ManyChat freebie got traction. 

REAL traction. 

And not just "Instagram" traction... but brought around a few dozen people to my email list.

So for the next month, I am going to test super short content, takes me a few minutes to make, might be a trend, might just be text overlay on a b-roll clip, but it will always have a CTA pointing to a freebie. 

Trial reels go to people who don't follow you yet, and right now, I'm not trying to grow my follower count. 

I'm trying to grow my email list. 

If I can get a freebie in front of new eyes... that might actually be worth my time.

We'll see.
