Heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson gives a motivational interview about his childhood struggles, the surreal experience of becoming the youngest heavyweight boxing champion ever and completely changing his mindset after his boxing career was over. Mike Tyson grew up in a poor family that had a lot of problems, he started stealing and at one point was locked up for it, but then everything changed when he met his mentor Cus D’Amato. He taught Mike Tyson to become a killer and fueled his desire to become the greatest boxer of all time. Even though Mike Tyson achieved a lot during his boxing career, he reflects on it saying that his fame was all an illusion that went by really quickly. Now Mike Tyson has changed his mindset completely and doesn’t like remembering the type of person he was during his boxing career. Mike Tyson always struggled with alcohol and other substance abuse but he has gotten a lot wiser and is able to deal with it much better now. Mike Tyson (born June 30, 1966) is an American former professional boxer who competed from 1985 to 2005. Nicknamed "Iron Mike" and "Kid Dynamite" in his early career, and later known as "The Baddest Man on the Planet", Tyson is considered one of the greatest heavyweight boxers of all time. He reigned as the undisputed world heavyweight champion from 1987 to 1990. Tyson won his first 19 professional fights by knockout, 12 of them in the first round. Claiming his first belt at 20 years, four months, and 22 days old, Tyson holds the record as the youngest boxer to win a heavyweight title. He was the first heavyweight boxer to simultaneously hold the WBA, WBC and IBF titles, as well as the only heavyweight to unify them in succession. The following year, Tyson became the lineal champion when he knocked out Michael Spinks in 91 seconds of the first round. In 1990, Tyson lost the titles to underdog Buster Douglas in one of the biggest upsets in history, when he was knocked out in the tenth round.
