We visit Broken Hill and the iconic town of Silverton - Roadtrip 2021 Episode 3

After we left Swan Hill we crossed the border into NSW.  We stayed at Wentworth an amazing little town with so so much to see and do. We have all visited before so we only stayed the night at a free camp on the banks of the Murray River before heading off the next morning for Broken Hill. We stayed at the Broken Hill Tourist Park for the night to catch up on washing and to get supplies from the supermarket. We were all excited that the Caravan Park had a pool but soon discovered the water was absolutely freezing. Lucas was the only one who was still happy to swim. We had to make him get out. There is also a great park for the kids so loved their time at the park.  The morning we headed out to look around found the Bid Red Park Bench which was a lot of fun. We also visited the Line of Lode Miners Memorial.  It was sad to see so many had lost their lives by just trying to do their jobs. We have visited Broken Hill three times so was happy to head out to Silverton for a few days. We wander the town visit the iconic Silverton Pub and no visit is complete without seeing the Mad Max Museum. You can easily spend several days exploring this amazing town. We also took a drive out to Daydream Mine but unfortunately they were booked out for tours. Peter and I had visited the mine 5 years ago and can highly recommend it if out that way. Also if at Silverton go out to Mundi Mundi Lookout at sunset it's well worth seeing. Next day we made our way to Wilcannia but you wil see that in the next episode until then happy travels.
