The Plane Train at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport

We received more than 600 entries in the contest to name the Airport's automated people mover. It took awhile to narrow down the list and to get legal approval to use the name, but we're happy to say that a name has been selected and the contest winner has been notified.

The winning entry in Hartsfield-Jackson's "Name the Train" contest is (drum roll, please) ... The Plane Train! One of the more popular names submitted, The Plane Train first was suggested by Don Auensen of Marietta, Georgia. Don will visit the Airport soon to receive his prize and get a behind-the-scenes tour of The Plane Train.
