MaryLynne Izzo Wins 2nd Place at AQS QuiltWeek in Daytona Beach
Kathy Buri talks with MaryLynne Izzo, about her quilt, Totally Immersed in Van Gogh, which won 2nd Place in the 1st Entry in an AQS Daytona Beach Quilt Contest at AQS QuiltWeek in Daytona Beach 2023.
The quilt was inspired by a trip to see the Van Gogh Immersive Experience. After printing her photographs of the people at the event, MaryLynne did colored-pencil renderings based on her photographs. The drawings were printed on fabric to use in the quilt. The Van Gogh portraits were printed on organza.
