AKUS Jam session - Sin City (2002)

April 29-30, 2002 AKUS recorded an album that was released May 10, 2005 under the title, "Home On The Highways - Band Picked Favorites." Following the 11th track was an excerpt from a jam session; it was not numbered as a track although it was referenced as a "bonus" on the album song list. In spite of that reference, I thought of it as an "Easter egg" which is a term often applied to something hidden to give the consumer a pleasant surprise when discovered. Last year I got to wondering if a lot of fans had failed to hear it because of its obscure nature and downtime origin that would naturally restrict promotion. (I am not a musician, and I love jam sessions, where the best musicians play and have fun without the stress of performing.) I was on Instagram then, so I contacted Ron Block about it, and he, in effect, said he was unaware of its existence, so I created a primitive video in order to be able to post it to Instagram and make it convenient for him to hear. I am no longer on Instagram, but today I purchased a download of Jana Mougin's awesome new single "If I Didn't Love You" on the Dark Shadow Recording label, from Amazon, and looking at the names of the stellar band playing for her reminded me of this "Easter egg" and made me want to share it on YouTube. So here it is.
