The Amiga and the AtariST are more similar than some users would like. With a minimal adjustment, the AtariTOS can be booted directly in the A1000. It is written directly into the A1000 WOM, where it is reset-protected and functions as a ROM until the next PowerOff. The memory addresses are largely identical, so the TOS can be loaded to the original memory address. In contrast to the AmigaROM, the TOS1.02 has only 192 KB, so 64KB are available in the WOM for the Amiga adaptations. The AtariTOS is reset-protected and the entire RAM of the Amiga is available to the TOS. The last internal tests already had working keyboard support and, in addition to MonoMode, LowRes / HiRes-Color (320x200 & 640/200) support. The game SimCity could be tested successfully. A proof of concept project from 2008, some things just have to be done.
