Don’t break up with your body! Listen to its signals! This relationship is important #shorts

Listening to the signals your body sends you is a lot like paying attention to the signals from your significant other... 😏

Like all relationships, the relationship you have with your body requires work. You need to constantly be present and willing to listen.

Are you tired & need more sleep?💤
Are you hungry & need some food? 🍏
Are you thirsty & need to hydrate? 💦

So often we ignore these signs and even praise others for their ability to do so!

Why do we:
praise those that can get by and “grind” on 5 hours of sleep?
praise those who diet and ignore their body’s signals for the sake of body image?
praise those who don’t take rest days from the gym?

Doing these things doesn’t make one person “healthier” or “better” than another. A poor listener and a lack of prioritization skills are probably traits you wouldn’t want from a partner, so why do it to your body? 🤔 You deserve to take what you need when you need it!

Over the next couple of months we’ll touch more on these types of topics in more detail and even prove to you that weight does not equal health. One day we hope to help others recognize these disordered tendencies that have been ingrained in us as a society and start changing the narrative😊
