International Space Station above Cape Town

The International Space Station was clearly visible above Cape Town (Fish Hoek) on the 9th May 2020 (magnitude -3.1) and 10th May 2020 (magnitude -1.9).

Travelling at an average speed of 7.77 km per second / 27 725 km per hour, the ISS completes 16 orbits around the earth every 24 hours - the equivalent distance from the earth to the moon and back !
