Fabricating & Welding Steel Frame - Tracked Amphibious Vehicle Build Ep. 7
Latest video: https://youtu.be/A7XDC5o_SWU
Fabricating a steel frame for tracked amphibious vehicle using steel tubing and steel sheet. Main processes of fabrication are angle grinder & welding again. The hull of this tracked vehicle is equipped with eight wheel hubs, six of them are just for idler wheels. Two hubs I handmade as part of the powertrain to transmit power from the engine to the rear wheels which will drive the tracks. This ATV will have eight car wheels that are cheap and durable. All the wheel hubs are waterproof. This vehicle will be controlled by skid-steering through the brake-differential steering unit fabricated from an old car rear axle and front brakes as side brakes. The power to the drive wheels is transmitted via tractor PTO parts. Whether this is a durable solution or not will be seen in the future.
