It is a well-known fact that the sound of running water has a stimulating effect for initiating voiding. Parents all over the world use this principle for potty training. Recent research has shown that it is not necessary to turn on the faucet. A sound recording from the smartphone will have the same effect. In urodynamic studies, the participants were able to void at higher flow rates with less residual urine. In other words: sound recordings increase your voiding power! Dr. med. dr. phil.
