Easily Drawing Forests (or other stuff) on your Fantasy Maps with Photoshop's Puppet Warp Tool

In this Puppet Warp Tutorial, I'll show you how the Puppet Warp tool in Photoshop CC can be used for quickly drawing (duplicating) trees. This is a great trick for any fantasy map makers to have in their back pocket as it has the potential to save you a lot of time. This is also a technique that goes beyond just duplicating trees and it could be used in other ways as well.

The puppet warp tool in Adobe Photoshop is typically used for manipulating the poses (moving arms and legs, etc.) of subjects or touching up clothing, but this tutorial reveals another application as well, the simple ability to redistribute isolated elements within a single layer such as moving around individuals trees within a single Photoshop layer. While very simple and easy to implement, this technique has the potential to save you a ton of time.
