Answering questions about the COVID-19 vaccine
Dr. Seth Cohen, medical director of infection prevention at UW Medical Center, answers questions about COVID-19 vaccine safety. Vaccines from Pfizer and Moderna are now being distributed all over the country. Cohen says while the development was fast, the safety process was rigorous, and the vaccine is safe for all people. When asked which one he would take, he said: "Which ever one is available."
In the video, Dr. Cohen addresses the other concerns he's heard, including whether the vaccine was tested on a large enough population, what kind of side effects or immune response do you get, and why it's important to still wear a mask even after you're vaccinated.
