Wildflower (Skylark) - Cover by John Scott
Hello again! Another Tuesday Tuneage video. First if you could all do me a huge favor and subscribe to my channel and share like crazy. I would love to get a bunch of folks listening just for the dad gum fun of it! Also if you want to be notified of new Tuesday Tuneage videos you can hit the Notify button beneath the video. I'd love it if you did!
On this one I performed all guitar and vocal parts and captured the "live" vocal for this video. Enjoy and thanks for listening!
Why I chose this song:
This is one of my favorite songs from the 70's (1972-73). I have always wanted to perform it and have never had a chance to. The song is Wildflower by one hit wonder band Skylark. This song embodies what I fell in love with in '70s music. Smart lyrics, awesome melody and killer performance from real musicians. This was about the era where my sister and I would pretend our grandparents' patio was a stage and just sing away up there. Great memories of a great song. Though the band is a one hit wonder, one name especially might be recognizable to some of you. David Foster played keys for Skylark. He went on to perform on, write on or produce a CRAP TON of music most of you should be familiar with. No wonder they were so good back then! Look him up if you are interested https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Foster
Thanks for listening and see y'all on a Tuesday in the near future!
