Mazatlán - Hiking El Faro

Welcome back to our channel, on this episode come along as me and my best friend Julia hike to the top of El Faro. The lighthouse has a long history of helping sailors navigate the waters on the pacific coast off the mainland of Mazatlán. In 1930 the island was connected to the mainland through a fill and embankment process. The park is now a nature lovers paradise with over 400 species of plants and even some sweet island cats. The hike which takes you 157m above the sea level, takes approximately 30 minutes to climb. Follow the small pebble pathway to a stairway of exactly 336 steps, then enjoy views of the pacific ocean and mainland Mazatlán! The park is completely free to access, though they do accept donations of your choosing and the "crystal gazebo" is 20 pesos.
