Mid-Century Modern Bowl in Box Elder | Matching the Inside & Outside Profiles

In this “Time in the Shop” session, I remount a Mid-Century Modern inspired bowl that dried in my kiln after coming from the Roof-to-Bowl project.

This Box Elder blank has some stringy grain, so I walk through how I approach tool selection, maintain clean cuts, and keep the inside and outside profiles working together as one unified design.

No drama — just practical turning, thoughtful design decisions, and the small details that make bespoke pieces feel intentional.

Burl makes a brief appearance… because apparently we were already live.
