Off Kilter a Multi-Axis Bowl Experiment Full Video 6/28

Join me on this woodturning adventure as I push the boundaries of traditional bowl turning with an off-kilter, multi-axis twist! In this experimental project, I take a beautiful piece of locally harvested black walnut—salvaged from a tree removed for safety reasons—and attempt to translate my multi-axis box turning techniques into a unique, faceted bowl form.

This is my first time trying a multi-axis setup for bowl turning, and things don’t go exactly as planned. I think out loud, share my frustrations, adapt on the fly, and show the real process—warts and all.
