Monkey Marc - Yaad N Abraad riddim version

The riddim version of the Yaad N Abraad riddim by Monkey Marc was written in his solar-powered recording studio in Melbourne, Australia. He says, "For this riddim, I aimed to create a record that had that classic reggae sound, but was a bit tougher and heavier. It's designed to sound big on a sound system, with a driving analog bassline, big drums and lots of analog delays and reverbs."

On the audio gear used to produce the tracks, Monkey Marc says, "My studio is full of oldschool synths, samplers, drum machines, tape delays, and analog and oldschool digital reverb units. I used some classic gear that was used a lot in 90s and 2000s dancehall and digital reggae, such as the MPC3000, Space Echo, and the Dynamic Space Expander. The Dynamic Space Expander is a reverb unit originally installed in the dash of a 1980s Cadillac, so that you could turn up the reverb on the sound as you were cruising along listening to a song, much like you'd turn up the bass on a car stereo these days."

Written, produced and mixed by Monkey Marc in his solar-powered recording studio in Melbourne, Australia. Mastered by Monkey Marc and Rohan Mansell.
