Wishing you a very happy and prosperous Deepavali! In celebration of this glorious festival, this week on Valam Varum Bharati, we present "Theeradha Vilayattu Pillai", describing the amusing pranks of the young Lord Krishna.

Note: The beginning of last stanza "PuLLanguzhal kondu varuvaan" has been written by the Mahakavi as "புள்ளாங்குழல்" in order to rhyme with the following line.

"Valam Varum Bharati" is a project of Kalaimamani Dr. Gayathri Girish that aims to explore the work of Mahakavi Subramania Bharathi, spanning across different themes and lyrical formats. The project also features senior musician and composer Vid. Rajkumar Bharathi, who is the great-grandson of Mahakavi Subramania Bharathi.
