Welcome to Day 34 of the 64 Days of Nonviolence. Today's prompt is acknowledgement.

Throughout Kiaeesha’s childhood, she notes that she never felt acknowledged. She tells us how she was taken from her mom at age 5 and had to raise her and her sibling by herself. She feels like growing up in prison made her a person that she’s not. Her whole life she just wanted to feel human and to not be given up on.
