The philosopher who warned the world to never underestimate desperate people had probably met this Dutch woman. This woman was found to have smuggled almost 150 thousand euros cash in shoes. Yes, you heard that right! The woman had just landed at Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport from Brussels to Medellin when the Agents of the National Police in Colombia stopped her from noticing her suspicious behavior. After a rigorous inspection, more than £150,000 was found shoved into the base of four wedge-style heels. It was wrapped into bundles of 500 Euro notes carrying a total of 45,000 euro in each wedge. Each shoe had a double bottom and a high platform making the smuggle kind of easy to get away with. I mean, if it were not for the suspicious behavior, she would have easily gotten away with it. Despite it being an offense, there's no detail about the woman's arrest but what do you think? Could she have been arrested?

This story is like a childhood dream after watching Captain Hook and all you think of is finding treasures. For years, a rusty metal box laid entangled in poison ivy in a Staten Island backyard in New York. Mathew Emanuel, the owner of the backyard would throw mulch on it thinking it was just an electrical box full of wires. It was during one of the springs after winter storms had destroyed their trees and vegetation that he decided to call a specialized exotic plant horticulturist to help them plant bamboo on the side of their yard. The horticulturist who refers to himself as Bamboo Bob arrived to do his job which turned out to be a treasure finding a task.

You never know what you'll find in the soil! As he was minding his business he stopped at the electric box that was about 2 feet wide and 1.5 feet deep, embedded in a few inches of dirt. He asked Mr. Mathew what it was and he said that it was just a rusty box they’d seen ever since they moved into the house. After a closer inspection, he uncovered that it was not an electrical box after all and helped Mathew dig it from the dirt. They managed to pry it open and were surprised to find several wads of cash and lots of bags of jewelry. After counting the money and jewel's worth he learned that it was almost $52,000! If he hadn't seen the address which was on one of the things inside the safe, he would have kept the treasure for himself. He linked the address to a neighbor's house down the road where he passes by while walking his dog. He decided to return the safe to them and while doing so discovered that there was more to the story. It dated back to a decade ago when a bandit nicknamed Ninja Burglar roamed the neighborhood stealing from people.
