Bodies that use the magnetic field of the Earth to identify their location. Only-female societies. With only one smell, you can tell whether you're a friend or a troublemaker. Homes that are so energy efficient that they maintain a constant temperature all year. We're not talking about new X-Men or other comic book characters; we're talking about creatures with abilities that we can only imagine.
These ten animals are far wiser than we are, demonstrating that animals, whether in the wild or at home, need to be treated with respect.

The fact that these animals have such a high IQ is one of the most fascinating facts about them, and one that most people are unaware of. These mammals perform exceptionally well in mammal IQ tests, according to research undertaken by experts in North America. In fact, they're cleverer than dogs and cats. A raccoon will undoubtedly anchor your team if you're planning a wacky animal robbery. In a strange 1908 experiment, ethologists found that even after the locks were repositioned or flipped upside-down, raccoons were able to pick complex locks in less than 10 attempts. Their memory is simply exceptional. They can recall solutions to problems for up to three years. Raccoons can physically hear earthworms crawling beneath, thanks to their wide hearing range. (How this will help you in your robbery is up to you to figure out.) Considering this, we're surprised that no raccoons were involved in any of these amusing animal crimes!
9.Crows know physics

The tale of a thirsty crow who stumbled across an almost empty pitcher of water and learned that by dropping pebbles in it, he could increase the water to a drinkable level was told by Aesop. "Little by little"—or was it "Necessity is the mother of invention?"—was the takeaway.
This wasn't just a tall tale. Aesop was onto something because not only can crows recognize faces to distinguish between predatory and benign species, they also understand basic physics (such as this lab crow who managed to master water displacement to get to a treat within reach), have been known to alter entire migration patterns to avoid farms where crows have been killed in the past, and may even memorize city garbage routes to snag the inevitable food. Talk about some of the most intelligent creatures on the planet! In any case, scientists have had a lot of fun putting this puzzle on non-fictional members of the smart corvid family. Recently, scientists discovered that wild crows are capable of overcoming a slew of Aesop's obstacles. Crows shouldn't be compared to gangsters because they're cool, calculated, and known to hold grudges, but we feel forced to tell you that a group of them is known as a murder.

I’m not one to scare easily, but having an eight-legged overlord is sending chills down my spine, and I’m not even talking about aliens. One word, octopi!

These tentacled sea monsters have repeatedly demonstrated their abilities to pop screw-top jar lids off, they can squeeze their hefty bodies through small openings because of their soft, boneless bodies and climb impossibly out of aquarium tanks to their freedom. Otto, a German aquarium octopus, was even known to hurl rocks at the glass and squirt water at overhead lamps to turn off the glaring lights (on more than one occasion). Octopuses have some of the most remarkable brains in nature. They're not only great escape artists, but are also curious, can develop unique personalities, and have been known to recognize individual faces. When you add in their ingenuity in building shelters out of coconut shells, there are no doubt they will be our overlords one day.
