Gullfoss waterfall, Iceland

Gullfoss is a stunning waterfall located in southwestern Iceland. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the country and is often referred to as the "Golden Falls" due to the golden hue of the water when it catches the sunlight. Gullfoss is situated on the Hvítá River, which originates from the Langjökull glacier in the highlands of Iceland.

The waterfall consists of two cascades that drop a total of 32 meters (105 feet) into a narrow canyon. The first cascade has a drop of 11 meters (36 feet), while the second cascade plunges down 21 meters (69 feet). The breathtaking sight of Gullfoss is accentuated by the rugged canyon walls and the powerful rush of water, which creates a mesmerizing display of nature's force.
