The Ruins at Tulum - Entering the walled city - part 1

For Mayan culture - Tulum is a must see and the easiest to get to. The bus here is $56 pesos - about $4.65 Cdn. and if you drive it's a bit more than an hour south of Playa Del Carmen on excellent roads. Tulum is the 'youngest' of the big 3 sites - Coba and Chichen Itza being the other two. Tulum was the major seaport for the Mayan Empire which spread out all over Mexico. It cost 51 pesos to tour, another 45 pesos to bring in my camera. Guided tours were 100 pesos - very well priced. The is very little shade on the site but it is a quick tour, very compact site can be done in an hour with a minimal amount of walking. MAKE SURE YOU PUT THIS PLACE ON YOUR TO DO LIST .
