Dena Yago: "First + Second Impressions"

In the second Paul Rand Lecture of the Spring 2022 semester, designer Dena Yago shares how first impressions of design tenants change when applied within real-world environments.

Dena Yago is an artist, writer, and founding member of the trend forecasting group K-HOLE. In addition to her visual practice, she works as a cultural strategist with the artist-based strategic consultancy Applied Arts. As an artist, she exhibits (The Hammer Museum, Warsaw Museum of Modern Art) and publishes (Flash Art, Frieze, e-flux journal) internationally. With Applied Arts, she has developed brand and creative strategies for clients including Brud, Dapper Collectives, Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale, Eckhaus Latta, Cartier, Stella Artois and Levi’s.
