In this video I take a deeper look at the engineering behind this CMC spider lift, and Russell walks me through features that genuinely make a difference on real-world jobs.
The primary boom is fully enclosed, meaning no external hoses to snag on trees, chimneys, or awkward structures. The telescopic fly jib delivers 12.4 metres of unrestricted outreach at 200kg, which is outstanding for up-and-over work, chimneys, and tricky roof geometry.
It also features:
• 90° basket rotation
• Quick-release cage (about 10 seconds off)
• Narrow-track mode for tight access
• Fits through a single doorway — even on models up to 42m
• Built-in electric and 110V supply to the basket
• Optional 3,000 PSI air and water lines for soft washing, fire-side treatment, and roof work
We even joked about BAC-50 roof treatments, but the truth is: with any machine like this, the biggest challenge is getting it into place and levelling it. If you can’t access the job, outreach doesn’t matter. Once the machine is stable, the capability it offers is seriously impressive.
