EP74: When looking for homestead land search for old easements and right-of-ways

In this video, we show a local homestead farm that has basically been ruined due to ATV traffic using an old county road easement for passage through the property. While this county road had been abandoned for decades and still isn't maintained by the county, the county recognizes it as a county easement and will not allow the property owners to limit access.

These type of issues may not be obvious when you are looking to buy your homestead land but take the time to do your homework at the court house and talk to others that have lived around that property for a long time.
