Future plans in place for the Kristin Linklater Voice Centre

The Kristin Linklater Voice Centre was opened in Orkney by world renowned voice coach, Kristin Linklater, in 2014. After half a century of working with stars of stage and screen in the United States, she headed home to the islands to continue teaching her own Linklater Voice Method. Visitors from all over the world arrived in this quiet corner of Orkney to learn from her and become Designated Linklater Teachers.

Then, in 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic hit, shutting down the Centre's operations. That summer, most traumatically of all, Kristin passed away, aged 84, leaving a real question mark over the future of the Centre and the legacy of her work.

Now, with travel restrictions eased and people able to arrive back in the islands to take part in workshops, the Centre is busy once again, and the management team is beginning to look to the future.
