Bob Welch of WBAP reports on the assassination of President Kennedy

This clip of a radio broadcast from WBAP reporter Bob Welch was recorded as he raced behind the presidential motorcade to Parkland Memorial Hospital and is the most immediate motorcade coverage following the assassination of President John F. Kennedy that is known to exist. The clip is part of a donation of 21 original recordings of the coverage on WBAP Radio leading up to, including and following the assassination on November 22, 1963 made by the radio station to the Museum’s growing historic body of originally-sourced records and documents of this pivotal event and time period.
